We invite you to join Jamie Dickenson (RYT-500) for the Will Power Challenge starting on January 2. This 30 day challenge has two parts: eating clean and doing yoga.
We will eat clean following the Whole30 plan as described in the book by Melissa and Dallas Hartwig, "The Whole30, The 30-Day Guide to Total Health and Food Freedom." You can start planning now for the January start.
If you are not a Yoga Power member, try one of our 30 day class passes to practice yoga. You must take your 30 classes at the studio. Any of our classes will count so you can do acro, barre, aerial or pilates as well as traditional yoga.
Here are the basic guidelines:
YES: Eat meat, seafood, eggs, vegetables, fruit and natural fats.
NO: Do not eat sugar, alcohol, grains, legumes or dairy. Do not eat baked goods or treats.
Please consider taking on this life-changing month:
- We will focus only on making good food choices.
- It is not hard. We will be doing it with you.
- Don't eat anything you don't want.
- Does require some effort in grocery shopping, meal planning, dining out, explaining the program to friends and dealing with stress.
- Don't weight or measure yourself.
We don't want you to go it alone. Get support from the one group of people who care about you the most! We are here to support your health efforts for the 30 days by offering weekly 90 minute support classes which will consist of 30 minutes of discussion about recipes and tips followed by a 60 minute beginner yoga class.
We hope you will participate in this 30 day experiment to find out if lifestyle changes will improve your energy, sleep and health. Take it seriously and see amazing results in unexpected areas!
The Will Power Challenge is FREE and open to the public! Minimum age to participate is 16.
